Old Gröden/Gardena Wooden Toys

 
One of the museum's main attractions is the unique collection of old Gröden/Gardena wooden toys, most of which was compiled, with much dedication, by Hans Senoner Vastlé prior to the outbreak of World War II.

Jointed puppets and rocking horses, string tricksters, and dancers, acrobats and travelers all sweep visitors away into the carefree world of childhood and fantasy.

An illustrated volume by Rita Stäblein has been published, featuring a thorough historical analysis of this exceptional article.
